What picture will work best for my 3D carving or Urn?

Choose a picture that focuses on the image you want carved. For pets, a close up head shot always captures a lot of detail and looks great. In saying that, we can get great results with any favourite photo you have.

Why does my order take 2-3 weeks?

Every order is custom made, the only thing we have ready to go is the timber. We need time to design, fabricate and finish every order individually, no mass production here. Just remember quality takes time and every piece is unique :)

How can I display my Carving?

Your custom carving comes with a display stand as well as a hanging hook attached to the back for wall mounting.

How do I care for my carving?

Your custom carving is designed to be indoors and away from direct sunlight. Timber is a hygroscopic material, meaning it naturally absorbs and releases moisture from the surrounding air. For the longevity of your carving it is best to keep your piece away from high-humidity areas such as bathrooms and laundries. Apply a timber oil or wax finish periodically to maintain a nice finish. A cutting board wax or mineral oil will do the trick.

What is a personalised pet urn?

A personalised pet urn is a handcrafted memorial designed to hold your beloved pet's ashes while celebrating their life. At Aubs and Sull, each urn is custom carved from a photograph of your pet, creating a unique keepsake that can be treasured for years to come.

How do I order a personalised urn?

Simply upload your favourite photo of your pet when placing your order. We use that image to create the custom carved design featured on your urn.

Will my pet's ashes fit inside?

Our urns are designed to accommodate the ashes of different sized pets. Please see our page on choosing the right size pet urn. If you're unsure which size is suitable, we're happy to help you choose the best option.

Can the urn be opened?

Yes.

Our oval urn features alignment dowels and is secured with supplied screws for a secure fit.

Our box urns have a removable base that is held in place by the same screws used for the timber feet, allowing easy access if required.

Can I personalise the urn?

Absolutely. Along with your pet's carved portrait, you can add:

Can you carve pets other than dogs and cats?

Yes. We can carve anything or anyone you have a photo of.

Is every urn handmade?

Yes. Every urn is individually designed, carved, assembled, sanded and finished in our Hunter Valley workshop. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.
